Design Material Optimization

Design and manufacturing requirements define the constraints on product form, mass and volume. We analyze these constraints first to define the design optimization regions. This is followed by identifying the suitable algorithms that can optimize the product mass without compromising the structural integrity of the design.

We have developed a streamlined process that couples topology and sizing optimizations. Abaqus -coupled with Tresca and Isight- is our choice for optimization software. These tools, coupled with CAD, can produce a high quality prototype ready for manufacturing.

Material and manufacturing cost are primary contributors to products' final cost. Conducting material optimization analyses at early phases of the design cycle ensures the main contributors to product final cost were addressed before tackling other design challenges.
