Design Evolution - Topology and Sizing Material Optimization of a Submersible Vessel example

Our Process

Design and manufacturing requirements define the constraints on product form, mass, and volume. We analyze these constraints first to define the design optimization regions. This is followed by the identification of suitable algorithms that can optimize the product mass without compromising the structural integrity of the design.

Methods & Tools

We have developed a streamlined process that couples topology and sizing optimizations. Abaqus (coupled with Tresca and Isight) is our choice for optimization software. These tools, combined with CAD, produce a high-quality prototype ready for manufacturing.

We help our customers efficiently identify the optimal material selection and geometry by conducting optimization analyses at early phases of the design cycle.
