Finite Element Modeling

Design evolution process integrating finite elements analysis and CAD using Abaqus and CREO software

Overview

Finite Elements Modeling (FEM) is a numerical process used to solve many physical problems that can be modeled by differential equations. To run an accurate and efficient FEM, it's essential to have: a good understanding of the analysis goals, a knowledge of the physics of the problem being modeled, the required model inputs, the relevant industry standards involved, besides having a detailed analysis plan.

Our Expertise

We have expertise in finite elements applications in the following domains:

  • Linear and nonlinear material behaviors
  • Fatigue and fracture mechanics
  • Flexible-body linkage modeling
  • Flexible dynamic systems modeling
  • Linear and nonlinear buckling system behavior
  • Design material optimization

Our Tools

  • Abaqus: is a finite element software widely used in product development by many Fortune-500 companies. The first Abaqus deployment was in September 1978.
  • Creo: is a 3D CAD software. Creo uses a model-based approach to integrate earliest phases of product design to manufacturing.
  • Fe-Safe: is a fatigue analysis software for finite element models. It directly interfaces to Abaqus and used by many industries for durability evaluation.
  • Isight: is an optimization management software, it allows design of experiments, and Design for Six Sigma to thoroughly explore the design space.
